A labor of love for your big day!
Hello, lovely brides-to-be! My name is Giselle, and this is the story of how The Little Flower Gardens came to be!
Growing up there was one person who I spent the long, summer vacations with, my grandma Esperanza. She had a fascination with flowers, big and small. As she tended to her flowers, I was always right beside her with a plastic shovel in hand and a hot pink watering can. It’s from her that I learned about St. Thérèse of Lisieux and the first quote she shared with me of hers was, “If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness.
The day she passed away in April 3 years ago, the sky cried with me as a thunderstorm roared in that day. It was fitting that the next day I saw the first spring flowers sprout from her garden, and I was left to tend to her blooms. Gardening and tending to flowers have been the vein that’s kept my life connected to my grandma. I feel her smile warmly spreading across her soft face as I put as much love as possible into every arrangement, I prepare for every bride that stops into my flower shop.
Every time I see the happiness on each one of my brides’ faces, I know that I’ve labored with love in the small details of the flowers that make up a bride’s big day. And when I see their smile, I see my grandma’s smile.
We make arrangements big and small with the flowers that each bride desires, and it’s our mission to provide the flowers that you desire in order to make sure your big day blossoms into the dignified ceremony it should be. Flowers are a fine example of the beauty that can blossom when you labor with love, and the sacrament of marriage does that as well. It’s the fruit of the love that the couple worked together to achieve.
The sacrament of marriage is one where the couple desire to unite for life and continue to blossom their love. I desire to stay connected with my grandma as I do what she taught me best, labor with love.
